  • New pix, new town

I have moved back to my home town, TULSA!  I took this pix of myself last week.  Actually I think it turned out pretty good.  I took it because I went on a diet and I wanted a picture for posterity sake! But it kind of coincides with the move.

I moved back to be near my dad, but also I accepted a great job. I figured I better lose a few pounds also.  anyway.  i don't know anyone here except my parents and my niece her husband and their 3 kids.  It's lonely, but I know it just takes time to get going.  I was at the hot dog place, my favorite, getting ready to have lunch by myself Friday and I saw someone that I worked with 17 years ago, scarry huh?  I lived in Little Rock for 17 years and I never saw people I knew.  And I knew a bunch of people there.  Tulsa is  20 times bigger than L.R.! go figure!

I am looking for a church home so I know that's the source for some good friendships and some good activities.

Anyway, hope all is well with everyone out there.  BTW, the grandbaby that we welcomed not so long ago???? Well he's going to be 2 years old on September 11th!!!! Can you believe it?  I think that's when my life started to get really busy and I started not blogging so much.  Not that it's his fault, but life certainly has a way of changing fast doesn't it.  And isn't it funny how a year or so down the road we aren't at all where we thought we would be, Hum?

  • I am a native Oklahoman transplanted to Arkansas for 16 years now back in my beautiful home town, Tulsa! I love living here. It is truly one of the most beautiful and diverse places I have ever been. I am the mother of three, and a grand of two (although we don't call it that) My nieces kids are to me like my own grand kids so I guess you could say I have a very extended family, so you see family is very important to me. Since my kids have started their lives apart from me I have realized that now my parents are beginning to need me more so I am beginning a new role as adult daughter. So far it's rewarding and fun. I love my cat, Fred, he is a Bombay breed and looks like a mini black panther. I think it's cool the way God made the attitude and temperament of cats! We could all take a lesson from that. I am a huge "Lucy" fan. I like jazz music, old cars, antiques, movies with a plot, and anything that I haven't done before, as long as it's legal.
